Slack
Give HappyRobot agents the ability to send and receive messages in Slack.
Integrate Slack with your workflows to streamline communication and automation. You can use Slack triggers to start a workflow based on channel messages or mentions, and Slack actions to send messages, wait for responses, or react to specific events.
Connecting Your Slack Account
-
Navigate to Organization → Organization Settings → Integrations
-
Go to Communications → Slack
-
Enable Slack Integration by clicking Enable → Sign into your Slack Workspace
Setting Up Triggers with Slack
You can configure a Trigger to be linked to a Slack channel. This means that when:
-
A new message is sent to the channel, or
-
A specific user is mentioned in the channel
the trigger will execute, and the rest of your workflow will commence.
Using the Slack Node in Workflows
A Slack Node can be used in your workflow after a tool node to perform the following actions:
-
Send a message to a Slack channel
-
Send a direct message to a specific user
-
Wait for a reaction to a Slack message before proceeding
-
Wait for a response to a Slack message before triggering the next step
This integration makes it easy to keep your team updated and automate repetitive communication tasks within Slack.
